Change The Default Colour Of The Canvas In QGis

How do I change the default colour of the canvas in QGIS

In QGIS, the default colour of the canvas can be changed through the application settings. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open QGIS: Start your QGIS application.
  2. Access Options: Go to Settings on the menu bar, then select Options.
  3. Canvas & Legend: In the Options window, click on the Canvas & Legend tab on the left sidebar.
  4. Canvas Background Color: Here, you will see an option for “Canvas background colour.” Click on the colour box next to this setting to choose a new colour. A colour picker window will open where you can select any colour you prefer.
  5. Apply and OK: Once you’ve selected your desired colour, click OK on the colour picker and then OK again on the Options window to apply the changes.

The canvas background colour will change to the colour you selected, and this setting will be saved as the default for future projects until you change it again.
