Wisconsin Elevation Overview
Wisconsin’s terrain reflects glaciation in the north and east, and the unglaciated Driftless Area in the southwest – a region of steep, narrow ridges and stream valleys unlike anything else in the upper Midwest. Timms Hill at 1,951 ft is the high point. The Great Lakes shoreline, inland lake chains, and the Mississippi River bluffs define the state’s edges.
