Nebraska Elevation Overview
Nebraska’s landscape slopes from the High Plains in the west – where Panorama Point near the Colorado border reaches 5,424 ft – down to the Missouri River at 840 ft in the east. The Sandhills, a vast grass-covered dune field covering 20,000 square miles, are the largest dune formation in the Western Hemisphere.
