Massachusetts Elevation Overview

Massachusetts terrain descends from the Berkshire Hills and Taconic Mountains in the west – where Mount Greylock peaks at 3,491 ft – through the Central Uplands, the Connecticut River valley, and down to the coastal lowlands and Cape Cod in the east. Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket sit barely above sea level.
