Maryland Elevation Overview

Maryland’s terrain spans five physiographic provinces: the Appalachian Mountains in the western panhandle (Hoye-Crest, 3,360 ft), the Blue Ridge, the Ridge and Valley province, the Piedmont Plateau, and the Chesapeake Bay tidewater and Atlantic Coastal Plain. The Chesapeake Bay divides the state into Western and Eastern shores.

How to Use the Maryland Elevation Map
