Kentucky Elevation Overview

Kentucky’s terrain spans from the rugged Appalachian coalfields in the east – where Black Mountain reaches 4,145 ft – to the gently rolling Bluegrass region in the center, then to the Western Coalfields and Mississippi Embayment lowlands in the west. The Ohio River at 257 ft defines the northern border.

How to Use the Kentucky Elevation Map
