Position Summary:
ABSC is seeking a highly qualified, mission-oriented Vice President to help us solve mission-critical challenges for the Intelligence Community (IC), with a primary focus on the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Account. This position reports to the ABSC Growth Lead, who is a CEO direct report. In this role, the VP of BD & Account Strategy is responsible for developing, maintaining, and owning relationships with Senior NGA (and other IC) leaders to obtain Voice of the Customer that leads to positioning ABSC for new opportunities before they show up on business forecasts. You will work the closely with the ABSC Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and ABSC Labs Solution Architects to develop technologies, demonstrable to IC Agency leadership, that meet Strategic Plan/Technology Roadmap challenges, as well as solve critical mission gaps. Additionally, you also have responsibility of management and execution of the full BD life cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits including RFI/RFP/White Paper responses. In this position, you will develop the overall BD strategy for new markets/directorates/customers and collaborate with a team of business development professionals, including capture managers, BD leads and BD analysts, in achievement of short and long-term business development goals. Finally, the VP will participate in identifying and performing due diligence on potential M&A candidate companies.
Position status: Funded, salary and applicable for bonus
Location: Ability to work remotely, but available to travel to the ABSC Tysons Corner, VA, Headquarters as needed, as well as to customer or partner locations within the United States for customer meetings.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies that provide the business an opportunity to grow revenue.
Drive the overall strategic planning and pursuits/capture activities to support the business development metrics for growth within the NGA customer set.
Drive meetings with customers to include ABSC C-Level participation.
Coordinate and follow-through with competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
Work synergistically with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Solution Architects in responding to BAAs, RFIs, RFPs or developing White Papers to promote ABSCs core competencies and technologies.
Drive business planning activities: pipeline reviews, bid agenda development, opportunity collaboration sessions, gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme & discriminator discussions, and proposal writing and reviews.
Investigate/evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, geographic expansions, licensing, partnerships, joint ventures, new business/market opportunities in line with the organization’s overall strategy and vision.
Develop Gate Review assessments and brief CEO, CTO, VP Growth with a compelling Win Strategy and Action Plan to raise opportunity PWin
Influence requirements that result in favorable Requests for Proposals (RFP) aligned with the corporate strategic imperatives.
Represent ABSC in the industry through participation in industry-related organizations such as INSA and USGIF

Experience/Qualifications Required for this Role:

Bachelors degree in a Technical or Business discipline; Masters degree highly desired
Experience working directly with Intelligence Community and Government personnel, specifically at the NGA 15 years of relevant experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, engineering, or program management.
Demonstrated access to key government customers and industry partners.
Experience with DoD/IC budget, investments, and acquisition processes
Strong understanding of the Defense Industry and IC/DOD acquisitions, contract types, and FAR/DFAR requirements
Wide business connections for partnering to fill gaps in ABSC prime bids.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
