Software Developer/Database Management Specialist – GIS Analyst (Entry-level)
Amentum is looking for a Software Developer/Database Management Specialist – GIS Analyst (Entry-level). This role will be based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey and work a hybrid schedule. The GIS Analyst/Software Developer/Database Management Specialist supports the FAA Technical Centers Center Operations Division in various program areas and systems including facilities management software, control systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), and database integration. This position reports directly to the Network Administrator/Database Management Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update SQL server databases, support data integration into development and operational systems.
Support GIS application development/integration in Archibus, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and Oracle Apex, as applicable.
Software application development support: author, publish, maintain, and update web services for web applications including but not limited to data development, data capture from satellite systems and tabular data integration into geospatial databases.
Perform geographic data digitizing, data development, data capture from satellite systems and tabular data integration into geospatial databases.
Create geospatial databases, tables, database structures, and establishes database relationships to tabular RDBMS.
Develop facilities-related GIS application tools for use in GIS/GPS projects. Work with facilities management databases for integration into GIS database and applications.
Perform data acquisition, data reformatting, and application of GIS and image processing software in support of Tech Center projects, activities, and issues.
Operate the GIS, Archibus, Oracle, and all associated hardware and software to display the results of computer analysis by applying cartographic principles in the production of finished maps.
Update the Master Plan with aboveground and below ground utility locations; updates buildings from new construction, renovations and/or demolition, and other site work.
Provide hardware and software support for the GIS, Archibus and other facilities management programs, including training and assisting system users.
Conduct data file management, including editing, merging, deletion, and additions.
Interact with scientists and/or engineers regarding the procurement, preparation, and/or editing of related project data.

Minimum Qualifications- Required
Must have graduated from an accredited college with a bachelors degree in one of the following disciplines: computer science, information science, information technology and information systems, systems and network administration, software engineering, computer engineering.
Due to the nature of the work, must be a US Citizen
Must have experience with common desktop applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Specialized experience includes relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle database, or other RDBMS and use of one or more of the following: Esri software (such as ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Pro), Archibus, Oracle Apex, Python, or other relevant database software tools.
Experience with computerized data entry and formatting, database management, and database utilization.
