Overview:
Castalia Systems is looking for a
TS/CSI cleared Senior Geospatial Analyst to join our team in McLean and Springfield, VA. We are supporting a government customer by Providing expeditionary all-source intelligence and services to the DoD, and the Intelligence Community to support the National Security strategy by Providing preeminent intelligence enabling better planning for todays decisions makers supporting mission accomplishment for the warfighter of today and tomorrow and consulting support on program strategies, integration plans, and unified GEOINT operations
Responsibilities:
The Sr Geospatial Analyst responsibilities includes extracting and/or acquiring geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data for analysis, visualization, and modeling to solve problems and enhance the GEOINT knowledge of mission-specific intelligence issues. This also includes extracting specific mission-related feature data in accordance with NSG data standards and product specifications and with respect to non-standard product requirements.
Standardize and document current and emerging GEOINT analysis and production techniques, tactics, and procedures to support on-the-job training and continuity of operations
Develop and standardize innovative and adaptive full spectrum GEOINT products and services tailored for rapid employment at all echelons based operational feedback from Marines returning from forward deployments
Acquire, analyze, attribute, exploit, extract, format, manipulate, position, and symbolize geospatial information and terrain data to Marine Corps quality and accuracy standards
Collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate and research utilizing Open-Source tools, techniques, methodology and software
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
10+years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst
A bachelor’s degree in afield related to the support services may count/or up to four years of this experience. A master’s degree in afield related to the support services may count for up to two additional years of this experience.
Proficiency with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
Proficiency with ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VBNBA (or some other object-oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data.
Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image processing, or regional expertise is also desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors.
Proficiency in using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Familiarity with electronic publishing and structured authoring software (SGML, HTML, or XML languages).
Familiarity with the following data formats: (e.g., DTED, VPF, CIB, ADRG); NGA imagery and geospatial products, data attribution techniques,
Comfort in working with advanced hardware and software technology and databases.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with the following applications: Web publishing, and Web hosting technologies, along with Geospatial Database generation/maintenance applications.
Proficiency with ArcGIS 9.x and its component extensions, along with the ability to create tailored scripts; working knowledge of ArcIMS and HTML editing; strong data mining and management skills.
Demonstrable ability to harness all geospatial tools and techniques with available data to provide relevant and insightful intelligence
