The Space and Intelligence Sector is seeking a mid-level (6+ years) Requirements Engineer to work within our dynamic Matrix Support team in either Springfield or Chantilly VA. The Matrix Support team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGAs Sensor Integrations (TIS) Office. This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture. This position is within our NSG Radar Ground (NRG) group. You will be working within a team providing strategic and innovative solutions for integrating radar data, products, analytic services, etc. within the Enterprise. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work with customers that are both Government and industry leaders and technology innovators.
Duties Include:
Translating analyst needs into strategic requirements.
Decomposing requirements into features by collaborating with developers, program level system engineers, and applicable external stakeholders.
Tracing program level requirements to enterprise requirements (ex. JARM TSTs) to inform NGAs GEOINT Enterprise Architecture (GEA).
Building requirement roadmaps with Senior-level engineers and mid-level engineers for NRG Program Increment Events.
Developing success criteria to validate requirements and assist in developing detailed test plans.
Ability to capture requirements in JIRA, Confluence, DOORs, etc. for program level requirement traceability.
Developing and communicating risks, issues, and opportunities to Program Seniors in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
6+ years of experience working in a Requirements Engineering discipline or a closely-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the tasks associated with this work.
Experience tracing program/project requirements to the source requirement such as the Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM), and JARM Technical Service Types (TSTs) for duplication analysis and gap analysis.
Ability to coordinate with users and stakeholders to develop Sensor program requirements for new and changing mission needs.
Desired:
Knowledge of the geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the Intelligence Community.
Familiarity with NGAs Request for Change (RFC) process to validate and assign program requirements to NGA segments.
Familiarity with agile development to include participation in scrums, development of solution epics, lean business cases, program epics, user stories, and features.
Scrum master experience.
Experience using DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) to manage requirements and interface with Enterprise Requirements Management.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, CONFLUENCE, and Tableau for tracking requirements, documentation, and backlog progress.

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
