A desire to help lead a team for field sampling and data analysis
Experience with mass spectrometry
Ability to geospatial/geostatistcal modeling
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality publications
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

About the Job:
Professor William Arnold is seeking a post-doctoral associate to 1) evaluate spatial and temporal variability of antibiotic concentrations in rivers/streams, 2) develop a fate and transport model at the selected sites, and 3) use geospatial and geostatistical models to predict antibiotic concentration. Duties will coordinating and participating in sample collection and extraction, conducting mass spectrometry analyses and data processing, and building the fate/geospatial models. This person will interact with, lead, and assist graduate and undergraduate students in the research group. 90% Research

Conduct research related to the funded project, including coordinating sampling, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting challenges, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students on the project, as needed.
Individually and collaboratively write reports for sponsors and papers to submit to refereed journals.
Take a leading role daily laboratory functioning and equipment maintenance.

Attend lab meetings with the entire research group, one-on-one meetings with Professor
Arnold, and meetings with the project team, as required.
Attend relevant training sessions.
Maintain the highest safety standards that adhere to University policy.
Assist other lab/community members, as needed.
