Primary Location: Vereinigte Staaten (US) – Illinois – Champaign Function: Product Engineering Title: Part-Time Student-GIS Analyst- Champaign IL – 95873 Onsite/Remote:Partial Remote Position

Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

Manage and analyze geospatial datasets from a variety of sources
Query and acquire publicly available spatial datasets to support primary objectives
Evaluate new proximal and remote sensing technologies
Perform field testing to generate large spatial datasets

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an Agricultural discipline; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a US accredited college/university
Graduation date of December 2023 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year 10-20 hours/weekly
Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours/weekly
Must be able to commute to the work location in Champaign, Illinois, up to 2 times/week year-round
Experience with spatial management software programs (e.g., ArcGIS, R, Python)
Knowledge of performing spatial analyses, modeling, and professional map generation
Basic programming knowledge with Python or a similar language

Knowledge of geostatistics
Background in Soil Science or Agronomy
Knowledge of proximal or remote sensing technologies
