Gorrondona & Associates, Inc. (G&AI) is seeking a Mobile LiDAR Technician in our Fort Worth or Austin office.

Essential Functions and Duties

The successful candidate will have direct experience with design-grade and GIS-grade mobile LiDAR for both TxDOT and municipal mapping projects.

The position will require data processing, 2D planimetric/3D DTM extraction, TIN creation, check shot reporting, fusion of other geospatial data with LIDAR data, and QA/QC management

The candidate will participate in the overall surveying and mapping process and will work with multiple G&AI offices.

Education/Experience

2+ years of LiDAR experience.

Survey or mapping background.

Proficiency with Inertial Explorer, Terrasolid, MicroStation, TopoDOT, and ArcGIS.

Mission planning and control layouts.

Knowledge of terrestrial scanning and airborne (including UAS) LiDAR.

Bachelors degree, preferably in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or a similar discipline.

Preferred Knowledge

ASPRS Certified Mapping Technician in LiDAR.

Asset Management.

Aerial Mapping

Knowledge of the Leica Pegasus: Two Mobile Mapping System
