What you will be doing:

Work independently and as a member of a multi-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design and build dynamic front- and back-end GIS applications
Develop GIS system architecture diagrams and provide insight to clients on GIS system design
Recommend potential solutions to clients
Developing gap analysis and helping clients migrate from legacy technology to new GIS technology
Drive end user satisfaction through the integration of interactive maps and geospatial analytics across desktop and mobile web interfaces.
Write well-designed, testable code for custom applications, reports, and data visualizations that successfully delight clients and win future business.
Develop solutions to complex problems in creative and effective ways by integrating the latest web mapping APIs, web mapping platforms, serverless technologies, and microservices strategies.
Devise airtight logic behind implementation of automated testing routines.
Produce lucid, straightforward documentation for applications and record comprehensive trainings for delivery to end users.
Collaborate across multiple teams and iterate on designs through daily use of version control standards.

What you must have:

Bachelors degree (Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline).
5 years of experience building and customizing applications in CSS, HTML, JavaScript frameworks and JavaScript mapping libraries (Esri, Leaflet, Carto, Mapbox)
3+ years of experience with Esri technology, Enterprise technology and GIS System Architecture
3+ years of experience conveying technical systems to various stakeholders and build consensus
3+ years of experience with Python for data ETL and analysis
2 years of experience working with spatial databases (PostgreSQL with PostGIS)
2+ years of experience with Agile software development and modern DevSecOps processes.
US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) preferred. Employment must be compliant with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance due to Government Contract.
Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US

What wed like you to know:

Understand concepts and applicable software tools and analytical methodologies for visualizing different types of spatial data.
Familiarity with 508 issues and compliance.
Demonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative.

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$68,325.00 – $116,152.00
