Job Description

AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist IV to support our Water Business Line in Chicago, Illinois.

Job Description

A GIS Specialist IV typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

+ Independently contributes to the design of databases or development of geodatabases and systems, as well as compiles and analyzes GIS data.

+ Evaluate commercial GIS applications, as well as design and develop GIS applications for internal use and for client deliverables.

+ Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected.

+ Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.

+ Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.

+ Use concepts, practices, and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.

+ Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation.

+ Work directly with GIS Specialist Team.

+ Responsibilities could include overall project or task management and quality review.

+ Design geospatial solutions using a variety of esri products to validate data is compliant with implementation of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment vector data model.

+ Maintain a digital GIS Program Binder detailing the processes and actions involved in completing assigned duties.

+ Organize, document, and communicate status updates to client and internal project leads.

+ Analyze, plan, develop and communicate requirements and standards to key stakeholders and the project team.

+ Meets with subject matter experts to discuss topics, such as technical specifications, customized solutions, and operational problems.

+ Provide comprehensive digital geospatial services in a fast-passed, professional environment with a high-level of visibility to senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements_

+ BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Working experience related to water/wastewater or water resources
