Job Summary
This position exists to provide Geographic Information System (GIS) services, support and training to business areas, projects, and users. To assist them in their use of the technology, provide spatial analysis, develop data, maps, products, and applications. The position assists staff with the development and maintenance of GIS data, end-user applications and tools, interactive mapping web sites, and documentation of GIS data sets. This person conducts GIS programming and documentation tasks related to GIS application and data development, spatial analysis, database management and map production activities.
At this time, this position is eligible to work full-time teleworking, hybrid or full-time in the office depending on the needs of the business unit and with supervisor approval. Telework is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work on a scheduled regular, recurring basis at a remote telework location.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume.
Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related experience.
Experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with ESRI GIS Software products
Experience with Python programming language
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL, including the ability to write SQL queries
Working knowledge and skills in cartography, coordinate systems, and spatial analysis
A masters degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR a related bachelors degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR a related associates degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced education and training in GIS
Knowledge of project management processes and best practices
Knowledge of source code management with Git
Experience with Javascript
Experience with ESRI Enterprise (Portal), ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server products
Experience developing field applications using ESRI Survey 123, Collector, and Field Maps products
Experience with open source geospatial software like PostGIS, QGIS, OGR/GDAL, Leaflet
