Position Summary
The position of GIS Specialist exists to support various survey divisions throughout the organization in the creation, maintenance, development, and analysis of GIS products to satisfy the needs of both internal and external clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
Create, edit and maintain geospatial databases and metadata for client deliverables
Perform CAD-GIS data integration
Provide spatial analyses in support of clients and staff
Provide detailed and concise cartographic output
Prepare maps and charts as directed
Develop visualization and communication strategies for data and results presentation
NON-ESSENTIAL
Assist in providing estimates for proposals where GIS deliverables are required
Develop and implement Server GIS and database applications for use internally and externally
Formulate and conduct training sessions and teaching materials for propagating GIS knowledge throughout the organization.
Guide, coach, and mentor junior members of the team.
Perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
At least two (2) years experience as a GIS professional.
Bachelors degree in geography, environmental science, resource management, geomatics (survey) engineering, or similar field may substitute up to four (4) years of experience
Strong skills using ArcGIS v.10.x and extensions
Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and extensions
DESIRED
Experience with relational database management
Experience with OGPs Seabed Survey Data Model (SSDM)
Experience working with 3D datasets and raster imagery
Experience developing GIS solutions using Python or .NET
Experience in the oil & gas, pipeline, petroleum industry

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid – Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
