Become a GIS Quality Control Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll be part of the Geomatics group within our Transmission & Distribution Organizational Unit (OU). This person will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with the quality control of GIS data. This position will Interface with internal and external clients to assess and implement process flow standards and improvements, while creating and maintaining workloads to support clients. As a GIS Quality Control Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Supports the testing of applications supporting quality control.
Supports the management, development, and implementation of tools supporting tracking and reporting for quality control.
Performs routine or repetitive analysis and develops recommendations which address customer and / or Company problems / issues that require general technical knowledge to resolve.
Utilizes various reference tools and materials to accurately maintain data integrity for SCEs electrical assets.
Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualifications
The essentials
Three or more years of experience Creating and/or Analyzing GIS Drawings, Maps or Mapping Materials.
Experience working with Mapping Applications such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map3D, Microstation, ESRI Viewers, cGIS or ArcGIS when creating and referencing geospatial and attribute data.
The preferred
Experience conducting research and analysis across multiple sources to ensure quality control of work.
Experience converting data from one format to another, generating ad hoc reports from business applications / databases.
Specialized GIS education or GIS certification.
Working knowledge and / or experience with electrical theory.
Ability to utilize new relevant technology and innovation to improve work performance.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
You should know
This positions work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email.
