Woolpert is seeking to hire an experienced GIS Analyst for our Miami, Florida office.The GIS Analyst would provide GIS data development support for a complex, multi-phased/multi-year City government project. The successful candidate will use Esri ArcGIS software, in conjunction with water system as-built plans and field collected data, to accurately map an existing water utility system.

Responsibilities:
Complete assigned project tasks such as GIS data development, QA/QC reviews, deciphering and interpolating water utility as-built plans, field data processing, and other GIS data processing tasks.
Work with the project management team to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
Participate in team and milestone meetings.
Work directly with client project team members.
Document specifications and mapping requirements for reports, data conversions, and system interfaces.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in GIS or a similar field, or two-years of similar project experience
Strong background in Esri ArcGIS products
Must have advanced computer skills
Strong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office products
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships
Must be able to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
It is preferable to have 1-2 years of experience working with construction as-built plans, with a fundamental understanding of how water utility systems are constructed
It is preferable to have experience working with a municipal utilitys GIS
Must be able to travel 20%-30% to client sites
Possess and maintain a valid drivers license
Ability to pass a standard pre-employment drug screening.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals

Resulting Physical Qualifications:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 to 50 pounds.
