We are looking for a GIS professional like you to transform data into eye-catching, GIS report maps that communicate key facts more effectively. At Sain Associates, GIS is an important service that organizes data, creates visuals, and provides analytics that empower us as planning, engineering, and surveying professionals.
As a GIS Analyst, you will work collaboratively across all departments. On a typical day, you might be converting GIS data to CAD for a site; preparing an analysis of current utilities for a roadway project; assisting with planning and feasibility studies; creating maps for proposals and projects; or providing GIS support to cities, counties, and utility organizations.

Daily Tasks

Support departments with mapping and dataset development needs
Use GIS to interpret design and produce maps
Edit and maintain spatial data
Perform spatial analysis
Provide technical support to end users accessing and using geospatial tools
Assist the GIS manager

Must Haves

3+ years of experience (will accept GIS Certificate in lieu of experience)
Experience using ESRI ArcGIS products
Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Ability to travel as needed to projects
Ability to interpret features from aerial photography
Understanding of cadastre, transportation, and various utility type GIS datasets. Knowledge of digital elevation data processing of 3D data such as contours.
Ability to use GIS analysis functions to extract information for use in reports.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
