Posting Summary

Serve as a Geospatial Technician in the University of Vermont Spatial Analysis Laboratory. Research. locate, acquire, process, review, edit, and visualize geospatial datasets. Assist in developing, training, and supervising student interns. Operate geospatial software, hardware, and supporting equipment. Assist in field data collection efforts, including UAS operations to obtain geospatial data in support of project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelors degree in related discipline with at least two geospatial courses and one year of technical experience working on geospatial projects required. Expertise using a variety of geospatial software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online as well as experience processing vector, raster, and point cloud datasets. Ability to work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment including proficiency in using computer office and communication software packages such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Slack. Knowledge of desktop and web-based cartographic standards. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid drivers license. Ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 UAS Operator certification.
