GDIT has an exciting opportunity to contribute our nations security by protecting us from some of the most dangerous global threats. The Defense Threat Reduction Agencys (DTRA) Operational Information Management System (OIMS) is the hub of integrating information on DTRAs global operations and tracking DTRAs activities in support of the Department of Defenses mission to deter, prevent and prevail against weapons of mass destruction threats. GDIT is seeking motivated and qualified individuals to support the operational functions of OIMS, as well as individuals to maintain, develop and modernize OIMS IT infrastructure. As a Geospatial Developer, you will play a leading role in the design and modernization of the web-based applications that support DTRA OIMS.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs geospatial data analysis and creation of various maps and other visualizations for incorporation into reports and or presentations.
Must have experience using GIS and database software, which may include, but is not limited to ESRI, Google Earth, ARC GIS. Must have experience with Oracle.
Integrates geospatial data tools into web-based applications
Performs data analysis, interpretations, and management duties. Develops rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis, and employs data science methodologies to analyze and visualize patterns, trends, and predictions within geospatial data sources
Provides analysis and manages research methods for national security, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability
Performs data collection, analysis, interpretation, and management duties
Provides data-related training to staff
Coordinates with scientists and other technical experts to design and develop statistical analyses methodologies
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

Required Characteristics:

BA/BS, 8+ years of Experience
TS/SCI Security Clearance
Must meet 8570.01M certification requirements (Security+)
