Job Description

Extract and/or acquire geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data for analysis and visualization to solve problems and enhance the knowledge of missions.
Extracts specific feature data in accordance with the Feature Data Specifications, project specific guidance, and other data and product specifications.
Utilizes well defined software processes, such as Agile, to work in a rapid development environment as part of a development team.
Designs, codes and unit tests front and back end solutions for integrated systems using packages such as in HTML, CSS, C++, C#, Java and JavaScript.
Develops integration code to connect and interface systems and services.
Develops solutions that utilize open standards and ICDs to promote interoperability through service based architectures.
Supports the development and configuration of database systems.
Analyzes, fixes, and documents DRs on systems.
Create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products.
Obtain, compile and assess geospatial data sets to support requirements.
Collaborate with analysts and customers as required.
Use a variety of geospatial analysis software suites to accomplish the mission.
Provide geospatial analysis services in the form of datasets and visualization products.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology.
Use packages as in BASH, CSS, DOS_BATCH, HTML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, PYTHON, SQL, XML, and Indexing/Search Technologies required.
At least 3+ years of experience in engineering and managing spatial data infrastructure to include both proprietary and open source technologies. This includes experience conducting data transformations between spatial data formats, QA/QC on data, understanding NSG data schemas, database management, and managing OGC compliant web services.
Must have a strong background in Relation Database Management System (RDBMS) and NoSQL concepts and tools to include firm understanding of SQL and Python syntax for ETL workflows.
Must be comfortable working in a Linux shell environment as well as standard GUI management tools.
Prior experience deploying and using PostgreSQL and Postgis extension to manage spatial data.
Prior experience deploying and managing open source spatial data web servers such as GeoServer, MapServer, TileserverGL, or similar to enable OGC compliant web services.
Comfortable using GDAL, GRASS, GeoPandas, Rasterio, or other open source geoprocessing applications and tools.
Prior AWS Development or DevOps experience.
Prior Elasticsearch experience creating and managing indexes.
