Overview:

Intrepid Solutions has an opportunity for a Senior Geospatial Data Engineer for a new contract.

Our client is a geographically distributed, complex system of communication networks and networked software and service capabilities. This position will be sited at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Responsibilities:

Develop and apply methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.
Conduct data mining and retrieval, and apply statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, and gather intelligence.
Visualize information using a range of analytical programming, tools, and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to develop applications, widgets, scripts and algorithms, create explanatory and predictive models, and conduct comparative analyses to address complex GEOINT problems.
Apply programming, statistical analysis, and visualization to glean insights from large and disparate data sources.
Understand and utilize solutions with predictive patterns from data into practical, intelligent applications that anyone can use.
Visualize information using a range of tools, develop scripts and algorithms, create explanatory and predictive models, and conduct comparative analyses to address complex problems.
Design and develop complex scripts and algorithms to create explanatory and predictive models and conduct comparative analyses to address complex military and intelligence problems.
Duties may also include the visualization of information using a range of tools (e.g., Tableau, R, and ESRI Arc-GIS suite, including model builder).

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

This position operates on a standard 8-hour schedule, Monday – Friday

Evening and weekend work may be required during surge support periods.

TRAVEL:

Limited or minimal travel expected.
Qualifications:
CLEARANCE: Active or Interim Top Secret + SCI (TS/SCI) clearance preferred. Active or Interim Secret required.

EDUCATION:i

Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, and 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.

CERTIFICATION(S):

DOD IAT Level II

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of experience in creating and maintaining geodatabases and integrating and managing foundation, intelligence, and multi-INT data into structured geodatabases.
Requires a geospatial background and a strong ability to independently conduct research, select approaches, and initiate projects in support of customer objectives.
Solid experience and understanding of considerations for large scale architecting and operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes and analytics platforms in the cloud required.
