Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an Environmental Data Analyst or Data Scientist to join our Environment business to support data collection, management, analysis, and visualization tasks for a diverse range of challenging and engaging environmental remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be passionate about using advanced data analysis techniques to tackle environmental problems. What You will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models.
Identify and recommend data management solutions and procedure improvements.
Work with and process environmental datasets and geospatial data.
Implement custom data-driven workflows.
Assist in designing, coding, testing, and documenting systems.
Collaborate with other developers and internal project groups.
Support data management tasks throughout the data life cycle, including data acquisition, database maintenance, and data quality assurance.

What you need to succeed!

To be successful in this role, you will need to be detail-oriented, self-motivated, adaptable in a high-speed and changing environment, and able to work tight timelines. You will need to demonstrate strong data analysis skills, have an understanding of data management and quality assurance processes, and have an innovative approach to data interpretation and visualization.

3-5 years of previous experience in the water and/or environmental industries
Bachelors degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, computer science, data analytics, or a similar related field.
Strong experience with programming languages (preferably Python, R, and/or SQL) for data analysis and data management
Experience with data analysis, interpretation, and written/visual presentation of conclusions
Experience working with and maintaining relational databases, such as in MS SQL or MS Access.
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills (asking questions, contributing, and sharing necessary information).
Experience with MS Power Platform (e.g. Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) a plus.
Experience with GIS is a plus.

Compensation

Pay:

This positions anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.

Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:

Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the roles organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings**

Pay Range
$63,709.24 – $138,676.19

Retirement Savings:

401(k) or Roth: Company will match equal to 100% of the first 3% of salary contributed, All employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan and 100% vested in the value of own contributions and any employer matching contributions.

Time away from work:

Vacation time is provided to full and part-time regular employees. Vacation is accrued, based on number of hours worked per week as well as prior years of experience.

Woodard & Curran offers paid sick time to eligible employees who are absent due to their own non-work related, illness, injury, or medical procedure.

Woodard & Curran provides up to 80 hours of Paid Parental Leave for bonding in a 12-month period.
