The Distribution Line Designer/Drafter works in the Lines Division designing overhead and underground lines for electric utility clients. The position involves detailed design of new lines, renovations, and upgrades for high voltage projects up to 345kV.
The Designer/Drafter will produce electric distribution field designs, AutoCAD interpolation of geospatial points, and preparation of AutoCAD drawings for designs, permits and easements in accordance with the clients standards of construction and specifications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Associates degree or certificate in Electric Power Technology, and/or Associates degree or certificate in computer-aided design (CAD) Technology.

Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil.

Experience in Microsoft Software Applications.

Ability to work closely with engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements.

Ability to take responsibility for the quality, accuracy and time constraints of work product.

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
