Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our team supporting our government partner. This position is expected to be onsite within a government facility. This applicant is someone who creatively approaches a variety of requirements to meet intelligence needs, can balance work on multiple tasks, and will work collaboratively with other scientists, engineers, and analysts.

Responsibilities include:

Utilize advanced data science methods to analyze and exploit GEOINT data and other sources of supplementary data to support intelligence production
Interact with analysts, mission partners and others on analytical functionality and exploitation and related support tools
Support the assessment of new analytical tools and the necessary standards to facilitate compatibility and greater efficiencies across the tool sets utilized by imagery/geospatial analysts
Work with minimal guidance and be fully capable of meeting most analytic methodology services without direction
Collaborate to provide accurate technical information that contributes to synergized analysis that is better than the sum of the individual parts

Apply mathematical techniques to solve complex problems and develop quantitative based assessments
Apply scientifically based approaches to help solve complex intelligence problems and issues to include: statistical data analysis, knowledge discovery, and mathematical modeling
Provide database consultation, graphical data visualizations, and recommendations for quantitative data selection, intelligence collection & integration
Assist in developing approaches to address key intelligence questions
Provide expertise to the team and act as the team POC for the government

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Ability to code/script, especially in Python or R
Experience with data science and visualization tools, such as R Shiny/RStudio, Tableau, JMP/JMP Pro, and/or similar
Background in machine learning/artificial intelligence

Experience with GEOINT data, including non-literal data
Expertise in Geographic Information Systems
Knowledge of phenomenologys relevant to GEOINT data
Strong analytical, inference, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Strong technical writing and briefing skill

Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Calculus, or other STEM related field
Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance

Estimated Salary Range: $75,000 to $175,000 depending on experience
