Customer Description
Our customer is an Intelligence Agency (IA) delivering world-class geospatial intelligence providing a decisive advantage to policymakers, war-fighters, intelligence professionals and first responders. The customer enables all of these critical actions and shapes decisions impacting our world through the indispensable discipline of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). Our customer is a unique combination of intelligence and combat support agency. It is the world leader in timely, relevant, accurate, and actionable GEOINT. This IA enables the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DOD) to fulfill the Presidents national security priorities to protect the nation. Although GEOINT is the most critical data within this agency, all data that is produced, collected and stored plays a supportive role in the day-to-day operations of our customer.
Program Description
The User Facing and Data Center Services (UDS) program provides user facing and data center information technology (IT) services to support the Government Customer’s Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) mission. Data Center support services encompasses the operations of the on-premises data centers as well as connectivity, governance, and operations of the AWS Commercial Cloud Services (C2S). The Data Center Services include compute, storage, database, LAN services, load balancing, patch management, and backup/recovery. Domain services are provided with Active Directory, PKI, DNS, and DHCP. Cloud support and cloud tools support are performed to enable SecDevOps. Application services are performed to include Platform as a Service (PaaS) and SharePoint service. The user facing services and technology areas are Desktop Hosting Services, Desktop Software Application Services, End User Device Services, Video and A/V support, and Conference Center support. Together the Data Center and User Facing services is expected to deliver the complete set of IT products and services necessary for our Government Customer to support its global mission.
Team Description
Blackspoke is a trusted member of a larger team of strategic partners. This contract was just awarded and has the full 10 year contract life remaining. Work is to be performed onsite in Government and Contractor SCIF space in Arnold, MO.
Job Description
In this position, the Data Cloud Engineer will provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
Experience in the various aspects of hybrid cloud activities
Supports procurement and deployment of Platform Services to enable application portability across the private and public cloud environments offered by the Customer
Readies the Customer’s Hybrid Cloud Environment for system migration to IC ITE and oversee the future expansion of the Customer Hybrid Cloud to additional public clouds
In concert with DCS Government, supports standardization of DCS operations in the Customer’s Hybrid Cloud Management environment
Transforms Government cloud requirements into appropriate technological alternatives and provides expertise in hybrid virtualization and cloud environments
Experience developing systems, products, and/or processes based on a total systems perspective
Consults, plans, analyzes designs, develops tests, assures quality, configures, installs, implements, integrates, maintains, and manages systems
Has and maintains a diverse set of skills across multiple technical disciplines with recognized expertise in multiple disciplines and possess advanced knowledge of multiple mature and emerging technologies
Works across organizational boundaries, both internally and externally and helps to drive the relationship between technical solutions and business needs of customers
Analyzes, defines and documents customer needs and required functionality
Designs, develops and tests theoretical and/or physical models and develops the system design, considering operational impacts, performance, testing, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training, maintenance, and support
Performs system level design trade analysis, reviews and approves system specifications and description documents, determines how a system is to be built, tested, and implemented, plans the system development execution and ensures adherence to appropriate standards, policies, principles, and practices
Analyzes system capacity and performance to support problem resolution and system enhancements and monitors systems tests
Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources for the purpose of providing technical assistance, consultation, advice and support, and regularly provides advice and recommends actions and solutions involving complex issues
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI
Bachelor’s Degree with 10-15 years of relevant experience
