This Data Engineering Architect role may be just what you are looking for! The role is in the T-Mobile High Speed Internet Geospatial organization that is responsible for architecting and delivering technology solutions to support an operational, customer facing website as well as provide internal reporting and data solution support. This position will be part a team composed of data engineers, analysts, and architects. Delivery technologies include products such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Tableau.

As an Architect for the Geospatial Data Platform team, help guide our team of data, product and delivery professionals that are building and supporting new capabilities that are strategic to our customers and the business. This position can be located in either Bellevue, WA or Denver, CO

Responsibilities

Owns solution design for cross domain initiatives and works across domains to ensure cohesive solution.
Reviews and identifies the gaps in the architecture and solution designs, assesses and defines remediation efforts or mitigation options.
Drives to practical solutions considering all teams, initiatives and long-term outlook.
Drives the overall technical design and end-to-end solution design for assigned initiatives.
Ensures quality, consistency and alignment of designs to TMUS standards and digital strategy.
Architect, build and launch new data models that support business solutions
Design, build and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines to move data
Work across multiple teams in high visibility roles and own the solution end-to-end. Interface with engineers, product managers, and product analysts to understand data needs
Build framework for auditing, error logging and master data management for the teams pipelines
Collaborate on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions
Works in collaboration with leadership to develop strategy, plan, goals (outcomes) for their scope of business.
Responsible for database and data warehouse design and architecture in order to meet business requirements and needs.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, analytics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
4 years of relevant data engineering, data architecture, and other related experience
Experience designing, architecting, and building self-service analytics and big data solutions using cloud technologies (i.e. EMR, Aurora, Redshift, Glue, S3, SWF, Quicksights etc.)
Strong track record of delivering products and ensuring customer success
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders
Passionate about learning new technologies
Experience with developing and operationalizing large scale data collection and processing
Ability to successfully develop and deliver technical solutions
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Colorado Pay Range: $99,700.00 – $134,900.00
Washington Pay Range : $107,000.00 – $144,800.00
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
